• polygenicinheritance:8%with1affectedparent,41%withbothparentsaffected
• riskfactors:smoking,obesity,alcohol,drugs,infections,physicaltrauma(Koebnerphenomenon)
Differential Diagnosis
• AD,mycosisfungoides(cutaneousT-celllymphoma),seborrheicdermatitis,tinea,nummular dermatitis, lichen planus

• biopsy(ifatypicalpresentation,rarelyneeded)

• commonsites:scalp,extensorsurfacesofelbowsandknees,trunk(especiallybuttocks),nails,pressure
